Given the rapid ascent from 200 meters to approximately 4000 meters within an hour, it's crucial to prioritize your body's adjustment to the altitude and climate. While the excitement to explore may be high, we recommend dedicating the first day to rest for proper acclimatization. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

After breakfast at the hotel visit Shey Gompa, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and explore the local market. Conclude the day with dinner and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Leh Palace: Immersing yourself in Leh Palace is a journey through Ladakh's captivating history and culture. Nestled atop a hill with intricate Tibetan architecture, the palace offers panoramic views of the landscape. The well-preserved rooms, museum exhibits, and the expansive rooftop create a unique and enriching experience, providing insights into the royal legacy of Ladakh.

Shanti Stupa: Exploring Shanti Stupa in Leh is a serene venture into spirituality and breathtaking vistas. Positioned on a hill, this Buddhist stupa boasts a tranquil ambiance and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The spiritual essence is heightened by intricate Buddhist architecture and the serene atmosphere. Climbing to the stupa provides a meditative experience, making it a must-visit for those seeking tranquility and a glimpse into Ladakh's spiritual heritage.

Shey Gompa: Situated approximately 15 kilometers from Leh, Shey Gompa served as the summer palace for the Ladakhi kings. Constructed in the early 17th century by Deldan Namgyal, the palace is surrounded by numerous Gompas and Stupas. The main attraction within Shey Gompa is the 12-meter Shakyamuni Buddha statue housed in the Dresthang Gompa.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at your Leh hotel. Following this, embark on your journey to Kargil. En route, immerse yourself in the breathtaking lunar landscapes and visit the Lamayuru Monastery, also known as Yuru Gompa. This ancient Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, housing around 150 monks, is a captivating stop on your route.

Continue your journey towards Kargil, making a noteworthy pitstop at the Mulbekh village to witness the renowned monolithic rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha. Standing at an impressive height of 8 meters, this statue has origins dating back to the 1st century B.C. Arrive in Kargil by evening and check-in at your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Kickstart your day with a hearty breakfast before setting out to explore Drass. Visit the poignant Vijay Smarak, a war memorial commemorating the Drass-Kargil conflict, and then make your way back to Leh. Along the route, marvel at the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers and experience the intriguing Magnetic Hill, where the laws of gravity seem to defy expectation.

Take time to visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and the Kali Mata temple, reaching Leh by evening. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and unwind.

Please Note: Additional charges will be applicable for the transportation to the Hall of Fame's evening light and sound show.

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Nubra Valley, traversing the famed Khardungla Pass, recognized as the World’s Highest Motorable road at an impressive altitude of 5602 meters.

Khardungla Pass (18,380ft above sea level): A rare opportunity unfolds as you drive along a road perched at an altitude of 18,380 feet. This pass, known as Khardungla, translates to the 'Pass of Lower Castle' and proudly holds the title of the highest motorable road globally, as declared by the Border Roads Organization.

Upon reaching Nubra Valley, explore the White Sand Dunes at Hunder, where an optional camel ride can be enjoyed (Camel ride available on direct payment basis).

Nubra Valley, often referred to as the orchard of Ladakh, paints a picturesque scene with yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender post-monsoon. The sight of Bactrian Camels, characterized by their shaggy double humps, roaming around the sand dunes is truly mesmerizing.

Later, check-in at a comfortable camp, where the evening unfolds at your leisure. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Following breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the enchanting Turtuk border village, nestled at the convergence of the Himalayan and Karakoram ranges, overseeing the flowing Shyok river. This village is inhabited by the Balti tribe, known for their distinctive culture and traditions, as well as their delectable cuisine.

Steeped in history, Turtuk was once under Pakistani occupation until 1971 when India reclaimed it in a fierce battle against the Pakistani army. Positioned atop the village, you'll have a captivating view of the Pakistani side of the border. The village holds a poignant narrative as many families remain divided, with some of their relatives residing on the other side.

Turtuk is a photographer's delight, offering picturesque vistas and a glimpse into the unique local lifestyle. Renowned for its high-quality apricots and the captivating sword dance performed during significant occasions and weddings, Turtuk is a cultural treasure. As the saying goes, "only smiles are sweeter than apricots in Turtuk." In the evening, return to Nubra, cherishing the memories of your day in this culturally rich border village. Overnight stay at the camp in Nubra.

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast, setting the stage for a visit to Diskit Monastery. Following this spiritual excursion, commence your return journey towards Pangong through the scenic Shyok route.

Pangong Lake, a jewel of the Leh-Ladakh valley, awaits your exploration. Renowned for its breath-taking beauty and a backdrop for numerous film scenes, the lake captivates with its pristine waters embraced by majestic mountains, especially the Chushul range. The long and slender lake is nestled in the shadows of the renowned Chushul Mountains, featuring mirror-calm waters that are cold, crystal clear, and notably saline. Serving as a breeding ground for a diverse array of birds, Pangong Lake promises a tranquil and picturesque experience.

As the day unfolds, check in at your camps by Pangong Lake, where you'll enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by the serene beauty of the landscape.

Commencing the day with an early breakfast, we bid farewell to our Camp or Hotel and embark on a journey to Hanle. Crossing through Chushul Village and Tsaga La (15,200 Ft), relish the scenic drive leading to Hanle, a unique destination home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory.

Situated in a region of strategic importance near the Tibetan/Chinese border, Hanle hosts the renowned Indian Astronomical Observatory. This observatory is home to the Himalayan Chandra Telescope, a remarkable 2m gamma-ray telescope. Notably, under construction is the Major Atmospheric Cerenkov Experiment Telescope, poised to become the world's largest telescope at the highest altitude and the second-largest gamma-ray telescope globally.

Adding historical intrigue, it is believed that King Singge Namgyal met his end in Hanle during his return from an expedition to the Mongols. The overnight stay at Hanle promises a serene experience in this captivating high-altitude location.

Commencing the day with an early breakfast, our journey unfolds as we embark on a ride towards the majestic Umling La Pass. Situated 100 kilometers away from Hanle, in the direction of the village of Demchok, within the Changthang Valley of the Ladakh region, this pass promises a thrilling adventure.

Today's route will predominantly be off-road, traversing high-altitude terrains. Riding for over 2 hours at an elevation exceeding 15,000 feet above sea level, we anticipate reaching Umling Pass by noon. After immersing ourselves in the mesmerizing surroundings, we'll trace our path back to Hanle along the same route. By evening, we'll return to Hanle and settle into a welcoming Homestay for a well-deserved rest.

After a satisfying breakfast, we bid farewell and embark on a scenic drive to Tsomoriri Lake. En route, we'll traverse the Nurpa Pass (16,100 Ft) and later cross the Mahe Bridge. The journey takes us to the mesmerizing Tsomoriri Lake, nestled at an altitude of 14,000 feet near the quaint village of Korzok.

Recently opened to foreigners due to its proximity to the Chinese border, the Changthang region is a haven of untamed beauty and awe-inspiring landscapes. Tsomoriri Lake, in particular, serves as the breeding ground for various bird species, including the bar-headed goose, crested grebe, Brahmini duck (ruddy sheldrake), and the brown-headed gull.

Expanding over 8 kilometres in width and stretching 28 kilometres in length, Tsomoriri Lake welcomes us upon arrival. After checking in at our camp for the night, the evening unfolds with a leisurely walk along the lake's banks, providing a tranquil experience. Relax and enjoy an overnight stay at the Camp or Hotel in Korzok.

Commencing the day with an early breakfast, we bid adieu to our camp and embark on a visit to the enchanting Korzok village. As we explore, the village with its unique houses and the Gompa, almost mirage-like, unfolds before us. Notably, the barley fields at Korzok stand among the highest cultivations globally, creating a surreal landscape.

Our journey then leads us to Tsokar, where the nomadic Changpas people are the area's most striking feature. Witness them moving gracefully from one location to another, herding their flocks of goats, sheep, and yaks. The Changpas spend their days harmoniously with their animals, migrating with their herds as the seasons change. Their daily activities include milking, churning milk into butter, crafting ropes, weaving mats, and creating other essential items from the raw materials provided by their flocks.

Living a life seemingly untouched by modern influences, the Changpas remain in a primitive, pre-historic age even into the twenty-first century. The drive to Tsokar is picturesque, and the Tsokar Lake adds to the scenic beauty. After immersing ourselves in the tranquillity of the surroundings, we proceed onward to Leh. Conclude the day with dinner and enjoy an overnight stay at the Hotel in Leh.

Today, embark on a captivating sightseeing tour of ancient monasteries in Leh, each holding its own unique charm and history.

Thiksey Gompa: Located about 17 kilometers from Leh and adjacent to Shey, Thiksey Gompa is considered one of Ladakh's most beautiful monasteries, belonging to the Gelukspa order. With a history spanning 600 years, the monastery features various temples, captivating murals, an impressive collection of books, paintings, and an alluring Buddha statue at its entrance.

Hemis: Approximately 45 kilometers south of Leh, Hemis Monastery stands as one of Ladakh's largest monasteries, founded in the early 17th century under the Drukpa order. Nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by streams and Mani walls, Hemis boasts unique decorations that set it apart from other monasteries.

3 Idiots School/Rancho School (Druk Padma Karpo School): Famous for its appearance in the film "Three Idiots" starring Aamir Khan, the Druk Padma Karpo School, also known as Druk White Lotus School, gained recognition for its clean and eco-friendly structures designed to withstand seismic disturbances. In 2016, BBC London hailed it as one of the most beautiful schools globally.

Sindhu Ghat: Located near Shey Monastery in Leh, Sindhu Ghat is a riverside spot 10 kilometers upstream from the Indus River. Originating from the Man Sarovar Lake and Mount Kailash in Tibet, the ghat offers a surreal landscape with barren mountains, rocky terrain, and the flowing river. Visit during the Sindhu Darshan Festival in June for a cultural extravaganza featuring sightseeing trips, campfires, and various exciting activities.

Conclude the day's explorations with a return to the hotel or guest house for a comfortable overnight stay.

As your memorable journey through the enchanting landscapes of Ladakh comes to an end, it's time to bid farewell to Leh.

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to Leh Airport to board a flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel for overnight stay.
