On arrival at Coimbatore Airport, Our Go Book Tours representative will meet you and transfer to Ooty - the Queen of Hill Stations. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, later in the afternoon visit Doddabetta Peak - the highest peak of the Nilgiris, and the fourth highest peak after the Anamudi, Mannamalai and Meesapulimala in South India. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Mudumalai National Park via the amazing Kalhatty Road that has 36 hairpin bends. On the way visit famous Ooty Lake, Botanical Gardens in Ooty - spread over 55 acres of land, this garden is divided into five different sections such as Fern House, Lower Garden, Italian Garden, Conservatory and Nurseries. Also visit beautiful attractions near Gudalur - Shooting Spot, and Needle Rock View point, later in the afternoon enjoy a Jeep safari inside the Mudumalai tiger reserve. After breakfast at the hotel, head out to explore Coonoor - a beautiful hill station near Ooty. At Coonoor, visit tea gardens, dolphin nose, lambs rock, and sims park, which is spread over an area of 12 hectares and is situated in Upper Coonoor. After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day in exploring the rolling hills of Misty Munnar dotted with tea plantations. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range famous for its tea estates, exotic lush greenery and craggy peaks. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Later in the afternoon proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park, were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Thekkady (the location of the Periyar National Park). Upon arrival at Thekkady, check-in at your resort. Relax at the resort, later proceed for a sightseeing of Periyar National Park. Periyar National Park, also known as Periyar Tiger Reserve, is thick ever green forest in the mountainous Western Ghats of Kerala. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. This wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers and a significant elephant population, as well as rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards and Indian bison. It is one of those wildlife reserves in India that remain open even in monsoon season. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, and Elephant Ride can be done at an extra cost. Also visit spice plantations of Kumily - a beautiful town and a popular tourist destination near Thekkady. Overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Kumarakom “Town of Backwaters”. Upon arrival at Kumarakom, check-in at the resort. Relax at the resort, later proceed for local sightseeing in and around Kumarakom, a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kumarakom Beach & Backwaters, and Bay Island Driftwood Museum etc. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Alappuzha (or Alleppey) - best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. Check in time is 01:00 PM and cruise starts with lunch. While cruising in these floating villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Evening is free at leisure, you can explore the local market of Alappuzha. Overnight stay at the houseboat.
After breakfast at the houseboat, Our Go Book Tours representative will transfer you to the Cochin Airport to board a flight to your home or onward destination.
